Our Teachers
Mrs. Lubs
School Director & Head Teacher
I have been in the early childhood education field for 25+ years. I have a Bachelors in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Development. After teaching/directing in traditional preschools and daycare centers, with a short break to be a stay-at-home mom, I joined El Segundo Co-op Nursery School as Head Teacher and Director in 2019.
El Segundo Co-op Nursery School was my first experience with the parent participation philosophy. I quickly saw the benefits of the direct involvement of parents and the unique educational experience of a nursery school. There are many positive aspects of parents being a part of their child’s education and I am honored to be part of this experience.
I also strongly support the theory that children learn best in a play-based program and through hands on experiences. Play, in a safe and nurturing environment, encourages the development of the love of learning, critical thinking, problem solving, communication skills, creativity and self-esteem. Play helps to build the foundation they need to succeed in their future.
Through all my years working with young children, I continue to enjoy the energy of young children and their eagerness to learn. I am thankful to be part of their young lives and being part of the ESCNS community.
Mrs. Ozog
Teacher
My career with children has spanned for over 25 years and I’ve had the privilege of working with ages, infants through adolescence with different developmental abilities. Working in early childhood education has been very rewarding. I get to rediscover life every day through the eyes of young children who view the world with wonder and joy. I’m excited to meet your children and your families to start our new adventure together.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Ozog
